Russia Program

Adoption Choices of Oklahoma is a licensed, not for profit child placement agency that is currently developing a program that will assist in placing adoptable children from Russia with approved adoptive families in the United States. Adoption Choices of Oklahoma believes that each child is worthy of love and deserves to have a permanent, happy, safe home and a wholesome, loving family. The Lighthouse Project and Adoption Choices of Oklahoma have teamed up to make this a reality.

Since 1993, the Russian adoption facilitation team of Global Social Venture Networjk (GSVN) has found adoptive homes for over 850 Russian orphans form the Chuvashaya and Karleia regions of Russia. This team is headed up by American, Lisa Sinclair Smith (The Light House Project) who lived in Russia for 8 years form 1993 to 2001, and still owns an apartment in Moscow, and travels their three to four times a year. The rest of the tram is composed of a variety of mostly bi lingual Russian adoption facilitators, translators and home study hosts. The team prides itself n highly individualized attention to all its families, and on a highly ethical, caring and detailed- oriented approach to its work. On average, the team completes approximate l0- 35 cases per year. We are currently working with the Light house Project to bring infants home. The baby and toddler program has both boys and girls available for adoption. Children are one year old and up. The children in Russia must be placed on a national data bank for 6 months before they are free for adoption.

What can we do for you, well we will complete your home study, education and post placement visits. Then you will be transferred to the Light House Project who will assist you in the Russian part of your journey to a complete your family. Once you return with your child ACC will complete your post placement visits required by Oklahoma and Russia. We can also assist you with referrals for physicians, play therapists, and counselors should you need them.
